Joyce Tate

Joyce Tate, age 80, of Cumming, GA, passed away on April 27, 2022.  Joyce was a fun-loving lady who loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her family.  She loved gardening and growing flowers. Joyce loved music, especially listening to gospel music. She worked for the Forsyth County School System for 30 years driving a school bus.  Joyce was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Mary Grace Holden; son, Danny Morris Tate.

She is survived by her children, David L. (Melissa) Tate, James Avery (Keshia) Tate, Susan Michelle Tate, Kelley (Ryan Eckelberry) Kandell; brothers and sisters, Louise Stapler, Gail (Doug) Jones, Mary Ann (Tommy) Henderson, Doris Holden, Jerry Holden, Calvin (Marlene) Holden; grandchildren, Allen (Kerry) Tate, Terry (Katie) Manning, Ashton (Jesse) Pilcher, Logan (Alexis) Tate, Aaron Tate, Molly Tate, Stephen Tate; great grandchildren, Carter Manning, Alexander Tate, Zackery Tate, James Russell Pilcher; nieces, nephews and other family.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 2, 2022, at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Dennis Bottoms officiating.  The interment will be held at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, May 1, 2022, from the hours of 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and again on Monday from 9:00 AM until the hour of service.
