June Camp Tate

June Camp Tate former resident of Forsyth County and current resident of Lumpkin County entered into her eternal rest on June 23, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was born on December 6, 1941, in Hapeville, GA to the late Grady Wallace and Emma Louise (James) Camp.

She attended Southwest High School (Fulton County) Atlanta, GA and went on to study hair dressing to become a professional beautician and later established her own beauty shop.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Horace Edwin Tate; her youngest daughter Wendy (Tate) Brumbelow and Wendy’s fiancé Robbie Hogan.

Survivors include daughter Leah (Tate) Williams and her husband Stoney C. Williams; step-daughter Connie Hitt and her husband Eddie Hitt; brother Melvin Camp and his wife Mary (Kury) Camp; grandson Michael Doyle Edwin Brumbelow and hiswife Sonya (Shoemake) Brumbelow; granddaughter Jatina Dawn Brumbelow; step-granddaughter Ashley Williams and fiancé Tyler Simpson; step-grandson Cole Williams and fiancé Rebecca Lynch; step-granddaughter Angel Willliams; step-granddaughter Amy Spalla and her husband Derek Spalla; step-granddaughter Brandy Roper and her husband Terry Roper; step-granddaughter Keshia Murray and her husband Danny Murray; Nan Ricks a longtime friend of 56 years and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, (especially Lorena Camp Prater and Daryl Tate, who attended her in her final days), great- grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, relatives and other good friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, GA, with Rev. Joe Hulsey, Rev. Troy Williams, and Rev. Steve Mulkey officiating. Interment will follow at Old Alpharetta City Cemetery (Rest Haven) in Alpharetta, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
