Katherine (Kathy) Irene Pritchett

Katherine (Kathy) Pritchett, age 80, of Cherokee County, passed away on August 27, 2023. Kathy was born August 28, 1942, in Norfolk, Virginia, and was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church. She retired from the Defense Security Service (formerly Defense Investigative Service) after 25 years of distinguished service which included four years with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Fort Belvoir, VA and four years at Dobbins Air Reserve Base in Marietta, GA. Subsequently, she also retired from Regions Bank Loan Department in Cumming, GA after 10 years of service. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Bobby Pritchett; parents James E. Mace Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Snyder Mace Youmans and stepmother Mary Elizabeth Shepard Mace Carter.

Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer Pritchett of Canton; son Brian Pritchett of Canton; precious granddaughter, Shelby Pritchett of Canton; sister Clair Mace Gorski of Philadelphia PA; Janice Mace (Brian) Miller of Titusville FL; sister Ruth Youmans Breau of Niantic CT; brother Gary (Bonnie) Youmans; brother Jimmy Mace of Titusville FL; sisters-in-law Lane Pritchett of Canton and Jack (Linda) Pritchett of Cumming. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, September 2 at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Padgett, Rev. Johnny Prucell and Rev. Joey Henderson officiating Interment will follow at Macedonia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Friday from 6:00-8:00PM and Saturday, 9:00-11:30AM.
