Katherine Louise Gentry

Katherine Louise Gentry (Butynski), age 68, of Smiths Station, Alabama, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021. Kathy was born on October 25, 1952 and raised in Greenfield, MA. She was a very proud graduate of Maria Assumpta Academy, Class of 1970, in Petersham, MA. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Elizabeth, as well as her sisters, Donna and Karen.

Kathy loved her family more than anything and the biggest blessing is that her children were by her side when she passed. She is survived by her daughter Amanda (Chris) Neighbours of Cumming and her son Stephen (Lynn) Wood of Carrollton. Her biggest joy was being a Nana to her grandsons Jack, Sam, and Luke Neighbours. Kathy has a huge extended family, including nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loved ones, that will miss the humor, the light, and most importantly the love she brought with her everywhere she went.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 23rd at 1PM with a memorial service to immediately follow at 2PM at Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, GA. The service will be officiated by Reverend Kathie Stasko.
