Kathleen Theresa Lilly

Kathleen Theresa Lilly, age 61 of Suwanee, GA passed away Tuesday May 3, 2022 and is peacefully gone home to be with the Lord.   She was born in 1960 in Napoleon Ohio.  She recently held Executive Vice President position with LifeLink Foundation.   Her position covered LifeLink divisions located in South Central Florida, state of Georgia and Puerto Rico including the Virgin Islands.  Kathy devoted her 24-year career to LifeLink.   In fact, over 35 years, Kathy built a legacy as a pioneer of the donation and transplant community and spent countless hours to support donor families and patients in need of transplantation as a clinical frontline responder and, later, a tireless leader.

Prior to her employment with LifeLink, she worked as Transplant Coordinator for Center for Organ Recovery and Education (Pittsburgh) and Life Connections of Ohio (Maumee) as well as surgical nurse for Mercy Hospital (Toledo).

Her family enjoys professional football and hockey (NFL Steeler’s and NHL Penguins).   Kathy has nearly mastered the entire sport rules book for professional sports to the level of detail in which all penalties called by are her will be “correct” and the officials are usually at fault (wrong 😊).   She is “The Rule Follower” and expects all NFL and NHL players, coaches, and announcers to also follow the rules every time and always – or else a flag would be thrown by Kathy!

Over the past 12 years Kathy and her husband have enjoyed watching sports vicariously through their children’s team sports at Lambert High School Division 7A, High School Soccer and Lacrosse.   Kathy loved following Ohio State Buckeye’s – “Go Bucks”.   In her spare time, she is hyper-focused on detail’s associated with decorating our home and gift selections for birthdays and every holiday.  Her love for 30A/Rosemary Beach is always a priority for rest and relaxation and spending time with family and friends.   Lastly, was her love for dogs, namely the Australian-shepherd breed which began in 2012 with our first:  Parker, and now has expanded to include Milly(2-years) and Lilah (1-Year) at the Lilly residence in Suwanee, GA.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years Dan Lilly; daughter Shannon and son Donovan; her mother Alice Moriarty; sister Sheila (Moriarty) Schlosser and brother’s Thomas Moriarty III and Sean Moriarty.  She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.
