Kathryn Sears, born September 11th, 1928, passed with peace and grace on March 8th, 2015. She is survived by her brothers John Sears Jr., Allen Sears, and sister Alashia Dawson, as well as her daughters Kathryn Ann Baskin, Peggy Lilaine Baxley, Blair Elizabeth Brannan, Jaqueline June Slusssar, and her son William Thomas Montgomery. Kathryn has three sons-in-law: Carl Baskin, James Baxley, Joseph Brannon, and one daughter-in-law, Linda Montgomery. She has eight beautiful grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents John Sears Sr. and Alashia Urquhart, her loving daughter Tommy Alashia Montgomery, and her great-grandson Bennett Cain Sterling. Kathryn was born and raised in Cordele, Georgia, where she attended high school and Middle Georgia College. She had a career in fashion and cosmetics and loved listening and dancing to her favorite music. Family and friends will remember her beautiful smile, intellect, unique character, magnetic personality, and wit. Most of all, Kathryn is remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 11th at 7:00 pm in the Chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Huskins officiating. Interment will follow on Thursday, March 12th at 1:00 pm at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Cochran, GA. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
