CIPOLAT, KATHRYN SMITH, 84

Kathryn Smith Cipolat, 84, of Alpharetta, formerly of Tampa, FL and Richmond, VA, died Saturday, December 10, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Leo Cipolat, of Richmond. She is survived by two daughters, Sandra S. Allrid of Alpharetta; Sherry C. Scruggs and husband Edward D. Scruggs III of Peachtree Corners; one grand-daughter, Amy Leigh Allrid of Alpharetta; one nephew and two nieces of Sandersville, GA: Chester Chet G. Smith, Jr., Cindy Smith Jackson and Cheryl Smith Mimbs; numerous cousins, grand nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Sadie.

Mrs. Cipolat graduated from Girls High in Atlanta. Early in her career, she worked for Sears Roebuck & Co. She was an accomplished seamstress and inspired many young women as a sewing instructor for The Singer Company. She retired from Kraft Foods in 1992.

A celebration of Mrs. Cipolats life will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Courtyard by Marriott located at 12655 Deerfield Parkway, Alpharetta, GA.
