Kenneth Earl Conn, Sr.

Kenneth Earl Conn, Sr., age 86, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 28, 2023.

Earl was born on February 10, 1937 in Atlanta, GA. He was one of eight children born to Roy S. and Dorothy Beard Conn. He attended Murphy High School and graduated in 1955. He had a long career working for AT&T in the Engineering department and retired in 1998 after 43 years of service. Earl proudly served in the United States Naval Reserves for 6 years. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Cumming and the Advocate Sunday School class. He was also a lifelong Georgia Tech fan.

Earl is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Bobbie Folsom Conn. Also surviving are his children, Kenneth Earl Conn, Jr. and Patti Conn Winne (Ross), five grandchildren Amanda Conn, Scott Conn, Mary Ann Conn (Edgar), Caitlyn Winne and Carys Winne; and eight great grandchildren. He also leaves behind four sisters Louise Conn Crowe, Martha Conn, Jean Conn Keesee, Jane Conn, and one brother Clifford Conn (Judy) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Earl was predeceased by his parents (Roy Sidney and Dorothy Beard Conn); grandsonZackary Ross Winne; brother Roy Edward Conn, and sister MaryAnn Conn Parker (Ed).

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bob Jolly officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests that you make a donation to the building fund for The First Baptist Church of Cumming.
