Kenneth McDonald Raines passed away March 25, 2017, at the age of 73. Kenneth was preceded by parents George McDonald Raines and Hazel Martin Raines. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ann Fouts Raines; daughter and son-in-law, Aimee and Joe Smart; grandsons, Joseph Raines Smart and Noah Tomlin Smart; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Mike Jones of Nicholson; sister-in-law, Maynita and husband Woody Davis of Woodstock; brother-in-law, Ralph and wife Martha Fouts of Carnesville; aunt, Elizabeth Martin of Cumming; nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. Kenneth was born and lived all his life in Forsyth County. He was a member of the Forsyth County High School Class of 1962. Kenneth retired from Sawnee EMC in 2009 after 39 years of service. Throughout his life Kenneth enjoyed several interests and activities. His late in life passion was running his 1964 Camaro in SCCA race competitions at Road Atlanta and other Southeastern road courses. Kenneth was a member of the Sports Car Club of America, Experimental Aircraft Association and Cumming Civitan Club. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 28th at 4:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ruel Martin and Mrs. Jane Blackburn officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive family and friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Monday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Tuesday from 3:00 pm until hour of the service.
