Lamar Westbrook

Lamar Westbrook, age 78, of Cumming, GA, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. Lamar was a proud United States Army Veteran and served in the 161st Aviation Company during the Vietnam War as a door gunner. He was a member of Coal Mtn. Baptist Church in Cumming, GA. Lamar enjoyed fixing antique cars and working on his property. He liked riding his Harley and collecting shirts from each adventure. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He is preceded in death by his parents, Noah Westbrook and Rosalene Summerville; special aunt, Geneva Westbrook; father and mother-in-law, Ben and Edna Wheeler; and brother-in-law, Robert Wheeler.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Linda Westbrook; children, Cody (Jennifer) Westbrook, Shelby (Mark) Cochran; and Slade (Elisabeth) Westbrook; grandchildren, Tori Westbrook, Austin Westbrook both of Huntsville, AL, Luke, Avery and Ethan Cochran all of Cumming, GA, Mallory (Josh) Fogas, Madelyn (Branden) Lewis, Lilly (Luke) Long, Charlie Westbrook, Celia Westbrook, Kate Westbrook, and Finn Westbrook all of Cumming; great grandchildren, Greyson Fogas, and Eden Lewis; and faithful dog, Buster; along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 24, 2021, at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, GA with Rev. Harold Bottoms, Rev. Keith Martin, and Rev. Ruel Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Cumming, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 12:00 noon until the hour of service.
