Lanier Holbrook Gilbert

Mr. Lanier Holbrook Gilbert, age 74, of Cumming passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015. Mr. Gilbert was a native of Forsyth County and loved to fish. He was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and was Past Master of Ducktown Lodge #572 F Survivors include his wife, Diane Gilbert of Cumming; a son and daughter-in-law, Lanny and Sharon Gilbert of Sandy Springs; daughters, Barbara Gilbert and Jennifer Shirley, both of Cumming; sister and brother-in-law, Joanne and Bob Mathis of Roswell; grandchildren, Elizabeth Gilbert, Abigail Gilbert and Zach Shirley. A number of nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 26th, at 3:30 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ted Miller officiating. Interment, with Masonic Rites, will follow at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
