Larry Franklin Burruss

Larry Franklin Burruss, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away at his home in Cumming, GA on Wednesday, August 30, 2023. 

Larry was born on April 8,1943 in Gainesville, GA to Jacob Reeves and Mary Ruth Wallace Burruss. He is preceded by his three brothers Reeves, Leland and Ed, and his three sisters Maggie, Dorothy, and Lucille. He is survived by his wife Mary Burruss, his brother Billy, sisters Ineal, Betty, and Kathleen, his two children Leslie and Neal Bramlett, Kevin Burruss and Melissa, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

Larry was loved by all who knew him. His first career was as a truck driver where he drove for multiple companies and then retired from Frito Lay. Soon after retiring from truck driving, he went on to own and manage two Radio Shack stores where he received several awards for outstanding performance. He and his wife Mary were able to experience world travel, many Nascar races, and family vacations where he watched his grandchildren flourish. 

Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 PM Friday, September 01, 2023 at Coal Mountain Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Martin, Rev. Danny Bennett & Rev. Ruel Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Coal Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
