Lawrence (Larry) Frank Menetre

Lawrence (Larry) Frank Menetre, of Alpharetta GA, passed away June 1, 2023. Larry was born to August Francis Menetre Jr and Alice Florence Freiner in St Louis MO on June 29, 1937. Growing up in St Louis, Larry graduated from St Mary’s High School. He entered the Navy and proudly served as a Seaman AKAN, VS30 Squadron, aboard USS Antietem, USS Valley Forge, USS Tarawa, and USS Wasp based out of Norfolk NAS. Larry was retired as Regional Manager Southeast District from Capitol Records and Pickwick Industries. He enjoyed his career in the record industry, being with many artists and introducing the latest hits to the Southeast. He was an avid boater and a skilled doubles ALTA tennis partner. Larry loved his Church and served in the Knights of Columbus and as an Extraordinary Minister while at St Andrew in Roswell GA. Most of all, Larry loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Rebecca Curlee Menetre; children, Shelly Menetre Skinner (Wesley) of Marietta GA; Kevin Lawrence Menetre (Marcy Daugherty) of Roswell GA and Keith Brian Menetre (Sylvia Bacastow) of Johns Creek GA; grandchildren, Krystal (Michelle);Samuel Skinner (Sarah Tuz) of Atlanta GA; Miller Menetre (Baylee Schmieder) of Newnan GA; Harris Menetre of Athens GA; Michael Menetre, Brian Menetre and Steven Menetre of Johns Creek GA; sister, Debby Menetre Casey of St Louis MO. He is also survived by family in St Louis & Washington MO, Tampa FL, & Nashville TN.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday June 23, 2023, 1:30pm, at St Benedict Catholic Church, 11045 Parsons Rd, Johns Creek GA 30097 with a Reception to follow in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, Masses may be offered, or a donation made to the Alzheimer’s Association, American Kidney Fund, St Jude Children’s Hospital, or Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
