Lena Watson

Lena Watson, loving wife, mother and grandmother of Gainesville, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2017. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church. Lena worked for Forsyth County School System where she served as a substitute teacher. She is preceded in death by her husband Leland Watson; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Skinner; brothers, Clay, Ray and Clyde Skinner; sisters, Pearl Porter, Lucille Huell, Ola Skinner, Bell Evans, Corine Elliott and Ethel Mae Bryant. Survivors include her children, Dennis (Patricia) Watson, Jane (Wilson) Pruitt, Scott (Angela) Watson; ten grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren, all of Gainesville. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017, 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Watson, Rev. Wilson Pruitt and Rev. Kyle Lamb Officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Garden with Rev. Keith Martin Officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
