Leon L. Samples

Leon L. Samples, age 84, of Cumming, GA., passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019. He was born in 1934, to the late Manuel and Ina Samples. Leon was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He was the middle child of 11. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his 1st wife, Catherine Samples Cowart and 2nd wife, Lynell Samples

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Judy (Todd) Holtzclaw and their children, Dillon (Ashley) Holtzclaw and Valerie (Roy) Edmondson and their son Lane Edmondson; son and daughter-in-law, Tony (Penny) Samples and their children, Stacy, Holly and Jon Samples; 2 sisters, 4 brothers and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Samples will be held Saturday, January 19, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, GA, with Rev. Rex Byrd and Rev. Ricky Byrd officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Gardens with Rev. Calvin Bailey officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
