Leona Irene Holbrook

Leona Irene Holbrook, age 83, of Forsyth County, passed away Friday, May 17, 2019. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Voncile Vaughan; her husband, Homer Holbrook.

She is survived by her siblings, Aubrey (Sara) Vaughan, Faye White, Clara Mae Hughes, Roy Vaughan, Janice Collett, Paul (Gail) Vaughan; sisters in laws, Jean Holbrook, Geneva Holbrook; nephews, Stephen (Lisa) Vaughan, Rev. Terry ( Ginger) Collett and several nieces, nephews , and other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Holbrook will be held Sunday, May19,2019, at Hopewell Baptist Church at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Lee Gaddis, Rev. Bud Sutton, Rev. Ronnie Powell and Rev. Terry Collett officiating. Interment will follow at New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
