Mrs. Lerah Sterling Tyson, age 89, of Cumming, passed away on June 10, 2013. Lerah was a member of Cumming Baptist Church where she taught the Seekers Sunday School class for 15 years. She graduated from the University of Montevallo in Alabama. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Etta Sterling; sisters, Marjorie Braswell and Barbara Wilborn. She is survived by her husband, Clifford Leroy Tyson; children, Charlene (Jimmy) Hutchinson of Adel, Marilynn (Bobby) Walker of Cumming, Ed (Debbie) Tyson of Buford, Angela (Scott) Carlin of Cumming; siblings, Virginia Abney, Dorcas Hattery, Myrtle Penland, Lewis Sterling Jr., Patsy Usry; grandchildren, Sherry (Chris) Johnson, Brian Hutchinson, Tiffany (Allen) Dixon, Dustin (Jessica) Baker, Joni (Chris) Smith, Meredith Tyson; great grandchildren, Caleb, Josh, and Seth Dixon, Natalie and Ansley Baker, Strider and Victoria Smith; a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives survive. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Williams and Rev. Danny Bennett officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 12, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of Georgia at: www.alz.org/georgia/ Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
