Lewis Elmer Payne, age 94 of Forsyth County, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012. He was a member and deacon of Beaver Ruin Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoors-man, loved gardening and landscaping. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Bobbie Payne; granddaughter, Vicki Payne, grandson, Jason Bagley, son-in-law, Jimmy Bagley. Survivors include his children, Sue (Gerald) Blackburn of Cumming, Robert (Janice) Payne of Forsyth County, Patsy Bagley of Cumming, Linda (Danny) Faulkner of Cumming, Roger (Rita) Shadburn of Dahlonega; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Funeral services will be held Thursday May 31st at 11:00 am at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dan Henderson, Rev. Michael Millwood, and Rev. Danny Orr officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Wednesday from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Thursday from 9:00 am until hour of service.
