Lila Skokowski, of Alpharetta, Georgia passed away peacefully on September 29, 2017. She was happily married to her husband Stanley Skokowski for 42 years. Family and friends cherished Lila for her warm personality, her corny jokes, and her incredible generosity. She volunteered at various assisted living facilities in her community for over 20 years. She retired from Norristown State Hospital in Pennsylvania. Lila is predeceased by her parents, Wellington (Larry) and Ruby Lanterman and her sister Arlene and brother-in-law Joseph Herko of Spencer, NY.
Lila is survived by her husband Stanley Skokowski of Alpharetta, GA, her sister Sandra Swayze of Ithaca, NY, brother Larry Lanterman of Lowman, NY, and brother-in-law Edward Swayze of Ithaca, NY, and brother-in-law James (Kathy) Skokowski of Lanham, MD; nieces and nephews Diane Alve (Chuck Brooks) of Dallas, TX, Janis Strope of Ithaca, NY, Donna Manning (Craig) of Van Etten, NY, Julie Lanterman of Wellsboro, PA, Lisa Swayze (Robert Ploessl) of Ithaca, NY, Jesse Lanterman (Carol) of Lake Haven, FL, Debbie Capasso (Ken) of Bridgeport, NJ, Kathy Swayze of Washington, DC, Eddie Swayze of Rochester, NY, Rick Cleaver (Jennifer) of Key West, Florida, and Joey Cleaver (Heather) of Madford Lake, NJ; several great-nieces and nephews including Seth Alve (Merritt) of Dallas, TX, Chesley Stoltz (Seth) of Colorado Springs, CO, and Jasper Minson of Ithaca, NY; and great-great nephews Lucas and Lane Alve of Dallas, TX.
Services are at Ingram Funeral Home, 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, GA 30040 on Wednesday, October 4th, with visiting hours from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m., followed by a service at 2:00 in the chapel.
