Linda Carol (Schellhardt) Bonjorno

Linda Carol (Schellhardt) Bonjorno left to be with her Lord and Savior on January 24, 2022 after a brief illness.

Linda was born July 23, 1949 in Long Island, New York. After seeing the world as a military brat, her family settled in Pensacola, Florida. She graduated from Escambia High School in Pensacola in 1967. She was fond of her time at Escambia where many lifelong friends were made and she found great joy participating in the glee club, The Rebelaires. As an adult, Linda served for years in public education in multiple leadership positions. Always a selfless individual, she was passionate about children, their safety, and their future. Linda was also a staunch animal activist. She had an insatiable love for cats and dogs and was convicted about the plight of animals in kill shelters. She worked tirelessly to save as many lives as she could, often adopting the animals herself. Additionally, Linda served as the president of a family support group in the US Army National Guard. Her patriotism and love of country were unmatched.

Linda is preceded in death by her father Richard Schellhardt. She is survived by her mother, Maryann Schellhardt and her husband, Frank Bon-Jorno, her three siblings, Peter Schellhardt, Susan Schellhardt, and Richard Schellhardt Jr.

She also leaves behind four children, Julie Thompson, Greg Gill, Tony Bon-Jorno, and Andrew Bon-Jorno. She was also blessed to have 10 wonderful grandchildren: Larissa and Andrew Bon-Jorno Jr, AJ Bon-Jorno Jr, Gage Adam, Cameron and Caroline Gill, Jordan and Nick Bridges, Jacob Pierle and Hannah Thompson. Linda never missed an opportunity to lift someone up with a kind word or a special written note. It is the families wish that you follow her example and spread love. In lieu of flowers, Linda would be honored with a donation to the ASPCA or your local animal shelter.

Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia in charge of arrangements.
