Linda Evelyn Akins

Linda Evelyn Akins, age 63 of Lula, formerly of Cumming, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2015. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and soon to be great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents James T. Greer, Sr. and Anne Vivian Greer; brother, Tommy Ray Greer. Survivors include her husband, J D Akins of Lula (formerly of Forsyth County); children, Craig Ray Akins and Terri Akins Shelton; brother, James Terry Greer, Jr.; grandchildren, Cheri Anne Akins, Andrew Blake Shelton and Joshua Akins; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 5th at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Garry English officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm and Thursday from 9:00 am until hour of the service.
