Lois Virginia Hester

Lois Virginia Bowen Hester, age 85, of Dawsonville, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2013. She liked to sew, read and loved the outdoors. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Watson James Hester; daughter, Georgia Marsha Bowen; parents, Pink Riley & Emma Mae Bowen; brothers, Marshall Bowen, Hubert Bowen; sisters, Lillian Donahue and Dorothy Bowen. Survivors include children, Bryant Keith (Anita) Bowen and Walter (DeAnna) Bowen; grandchildren, Wayne (Sheree) Davis, Amber Bowen (Vernell Johnson), Robert Luke Bowen; great grandchildren, Desirae Hope Davis, Rylie Alona Davis, Aubriella Ann Johnson; and other loved ones and friends also survive. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 5 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wilburn Ridings, Rev. Cecil Reeves and Rev. Ray Berry officiating. Interment will follow at Big Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Friday from 9:00 a.m.to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.
