LOUISE WATZNAUER, 77, of Cumming, Georgia passed away on Monday, October 17th, 2011.
A Celebration Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 19th, 2011 at 7:00pm.
Lois Louise Watznauer was born June 14, 1934, to parents Frank and Emma Rupert. She was raised in Kansas, and spent much of her childhood living and helping to work on a dairy farm.
Around the time she was 20 years old, Louise stepped beyond the confines of Kansas to live with an aunt in Miami, Florida. It was in Miami that she found her future. A handsome charmer named Fred Watznauer took a shine to the young beauty (who could easily have rivaled any Hollywood starlet). They were married in 1956, and their first child, a boy they named Alan Dale. His brother, Steven Lee, followed in June of 1960.
Fred and Louise, it seemed, were two halves of the same whole. They loved their children, and to see them together as a couple was to know that forever love is possible. They were steadfast in their devotion to family and to each other. It was no surprise, then, that when Fred was called home in 2007, that Louise would feel that a huge part of her heart felt as though it had been taken from her. She remained dedicated to her son and grandchildren, and every action she took was evidence of a selfless devotion that many couldn't fathom, but she made it look so easy. Her generosity knew few bounds, and before she ever did anything for herself, she made sure that the ones she loved were taken care of first. She gave freely without expecting anything in return, except to love her back, and we did. She loved quietly but fiercely, and thus truly.
Louise was called home by her Lord on October 17th. Though we, her family, are devastated by her loss, we also know full well that a glorious reunion has taken place, and she has once again found her sweetheart and they can never again be parted. She is also basking in the joys of seeing her own beloved relatives who left too soon. She is with her parents, her beautiful son Dale, and her Heavenly Father. She knows nothing more of pain or loss, setbacks or disappointments, or of the quietly tragic sound of a broken heart. Even as we are left to mourn her loss, we rejoice that her suffering has ended.
Louise, Mom, Grandma, we will honor your memory and give thanks every day of our lives for every second that we were able to see you and love you. Rest in peace, love.
