Louizabel “Louise” Hustacea Benner, 82, of Forsyth County, GA passed away on February 16, 2025. She passed away peacefully at home after a three-year battle with cancer.Louise was born in Honolulu, HI on February 16, 1943, to the late Leonar KeKahiliaulani Harrison-Case Poomaihealani and Antone DeMello. She was a graduate of Kailua High Schoolbut moved to CA in 1961 to broaden her horizons. She started her career with Pacific Bell in San Francisco CA in the 1960s and continued until taking early retirement in 1988. She met her husband Hal at PacBell and they were married June 23, 1973, bringing 4 young daughters together into their marriage. Louise became a CA real estate agent after retirement to stay involved in her community until her family moved to Georgia in 1996. Louise and Hal loved to travel, cruising the world from Antarctica to north of the Artic Circle(for up to 75 days!), visiting every continent in-between and most of the US states.
Louise is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Harold “Hal” Benner. Her children: Michelle (Regis) Perhac (GA), Linda (Mike) Kellerman (CA), Pamela (Tristan) Keller, Sr. (NM) and Laura (David) Jaworski (CA); grandchildren: Michael (Renee), Jack (Shannon), Andrew, Danielle, Noah, Sophia, Tristan Jr. (Anastasia), Alexander, Lucas, Adam; great grandchildren: Emory and Olivia; her brother GeraldKalani Poomaihealani; and sister-in-law: Phyllis Benner; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Mass, and a Celebration of Life following, will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Flowery Branch, GA starting at 11:00am on Thursday, March 6, 2025.
Louise’s family would like to convey their deep gratitude and appreciation to all who journeyed with them during the last 3+ years, giving love, support, and prayers.
