Luna Mae Roper, age 89 of Alpharetta, passed away on March 19, 2013. She was a member of Longstreet Baptist Church. Luna Mae is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Egbert Roper and her granddaughter, Cindy Richards Woody. Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Dorris and Rev. Gerral Richards of Alpharetta, Brenda Poletti of Alpharetta; grandchildren, Tammy and Mark Castleberry, Randy and Angie Richards, Matthew Poletti; great grandchildren, Kayla Richards, Jon Richards, Julie Richards, Cynda Tate, Justin Castleberry, Jacob Castleberry; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Ridings, Betty Ridings; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Junior and Marilee Roper, Robert Roper; special caregivers, Yvette Embola and Ruth Cruse and several nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 22, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at Longstreet Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Carnes, Rev. Pete Martin and Rev. Randy Richards officiating. Interment will follow at Longstreet Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3 to 9 p.m., Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
