Mack E. Pitts, 62, beloved father, grandfather and brother passed into his Savior's arms on December 24th, 2011 at Peachtree Christian Hospice, Duluth, Ga, following a courageous battle with cancer. A celebration of his life with be held in St. James, Mo, in January.
He is survived by his 3 daughters, Dawn (Jim Ahrendsen) of Anamosa, Ia, Michelle of Marion, Ia and Lauri of Suwanee, Ga. 4 grandchildren, Brittanie, Austen, Lourdes and London. 6 siblings, James (Barbara) Pitts of Az, David (Vickie) Pitts, St. James, Mo, Lili Beaudin of Wa., Sally Hoyer of St. James, Mo, Delores (Richard) Wilkinson of Rolla, Mo and Fay (Jess) Hussey of Doolittle, Mo. and many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers George Jr.(Jack), Harold and Billie Jo and sisters Imogene and Linda.
Mack Eugene Pitts was born on August 25, 1949, the son of George and Pearl (Fierce) Pitts in Cuba, Mo. His home was always in Missouri, however he raised his daughters in Iowa and also lived and worked in MS, IL, HI, GA and Canada.
He was a buyer of standing timber and very well respected for his logging skills, he was the best of the best!- logging in Amana, Ia was one of his favorite places! Mack was a avid hunter and outdoorsman and loved country western music, especially Loretta Lynn and Hank Williams, Sr. He enjoyed Nascar and was always a family man that loved his daughters, grandchildren, sisters and brothers. He will be greatly missed by those he held dear to his heart.
