Margaret M. Jenkins

On December 4, 2024 Margaret Mildred Jenkins, loving mother of three children, passed away at age 100.

Margaret was born October 19, 1924 in Burlington, NC to Leo and Fannie Jenkins. Upon graduating high school she went to work at the Spence Army Airfield in Moultrie, Georgia during WW II and then at the Western Electric Company in North Carolina. In 1952 she married another North Carolinian, John Edwin Williams. Together they raised two sons, Mark and Dean, daughter Cheryl and granddaughter Jenna. With their children in tow they lived in several states including Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, Connecticut, Florida, and Indiana while finally settling down roots in Dunwoody, Georgia. Margaret had been active in both the Dunwoody and First Baptist Church of Atlanta. Her passion was fashion, dance and traveling to various parts of the world.

Margaret lost John to cancer in 1987 and remarried Aaron Frank Norton who passed away in 2021. She is survived by her three children and granddaughter, Jenna.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 12, at 2:30 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel located at 210 Ingram Ave, Cumming, Georgia 30040.

Margaret will be laid to rest at North Atlanta Memorial Park located at 5188 Winters Chapel Road, Atlanta. Georgia at a later date.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home the hour prior to the service.
