Marion Agnes Pauli

Marion Agnes Mirambell Pauli, devoted wife, loving mother, loyal sister, treasured aunt and friend, died at Elmcroft of Roswell Assisted Living Facility on October 21, 2016. She was 92. Wife of 66 years of the late Edwin Charles Pauli, she is survived by daughters Sharon Ann Pauli and Debra Ann Pauli. She also leaves behind her brother John with his wife Shirley, sisters-in-law Laura Dicharry, Esther Lacoste, "Duddy" Carson with her husband Jack, many nieces, nephews and their children, all whom she dearly loved. She is preceded in death by her parents Irene Gorbach Mirambell and Louis Mirambell and by her brothers Louis, Frederick, Harold, Edward, Eugene and Milton Mirambell and by her sister Claudia M. "Sis" Lund.

Marion attended St. Joseph School then worked for the Boilermakers Union and Maison Blanche prior to marrying Eddie in 1947. Marion became a mother and homemaker. A devoted Catholic, she actively supported St. Joseph Church and School. Once the girls were grown, Marion joined Eddie's brother's business, Pauli's Bicycle and Lawnmower Shop where she worked until retirement. Marion was enthusiastic about Mardi Gras and was a member of the Krewe of Amore.

Marion and her beloved Eddie enjoyed many years of retirement together including activities and travel with the Hilltoppers of St. Edward the Confessor Parish, the AARP Chapter of St. Mary Magdalen Parish, and The Keenagers. To their daughters' delight, Marion and Eddie moved to Atlanta in 2013 where the four enjoyed a year of happy times together prior to Eddie's death in June 2014. Marion reluctantly moved to Atlanta but never adopted it as home. She did try to impress on her fellow Elmcroft residents the rules and culture of Bingo, New Orleans' style. She was a true New Orleanian.
