Marion Smith Stone

Marion Smith Stone, age 72, of Cumming, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2020. She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, Forsyth County High School class of 1965 and retired from a 35-year career with the US Postal Service in Cumming. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jewell and Voncile Smith; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Eugene and Grace Stone; sister, Anita Ruth Smith; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Betty Stone, Alton Richards, Morris McGinnis, Kenneth Samples.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Stone; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Chris Fontenot; granddaughter, Hannah Fontenot; sister, Bonnie Tate; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bobbie Richards, Glendal and Ellen Stone, Carolyn McGinnis, Phyllis Samples; and a large number of nieces, nephews and very special friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, January 17, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel, Cumming, GA 30040. Entombment will follow in Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 11:00 a.m. until hour of the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to support the granddaughters college fund.

Ingram Funeral Home Crematory, 210 Ingram Ave, Cumming, GA 30040 is in charge of arrangements.
