Mark D. Brown, 56, of Cumming, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018. Mark was born April 1, 1961 in Toccoa to the late Dwain and Nellie Jo Brown. He received a Bachelors Degree in Biblical Studies and a Masters Degree in Theology from Jacksonville Theological Seminary and was ordained to the Gospel Ministry. Mark also was an honor graduate from Lanier Technical College with an Associates Degree as a Computer Technical Specialist and earned membership in the National Technical Honor Society. He worked for PPG Industries for 17 years and then was self employed as a computer technician. Mark and his wife of 32 years, Linda Weathers Brown, also were honored to serve as Missionaries in Scotland.
In addition to his wife, Mark is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Natalie Brown Myers and Eric Myers of Kingsport, TN; his step mother, Jeanette Brown of Hampton, GA; a step-brother, Curtis Roach of Alpharetta; sister-in-law, Ada Mooney; and nieces and nephews, Rad and Emily Myers and Mark Mooney.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 31, at 1:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robbie Mathis and Rev. Jonathan Bennett officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
