Marshall Brooks, age 75, of Tucker, GA, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2012. In his youth, Marshall proudly served his country during the Korean War as a member of the United States Marine Corps. He attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Wylene Brooks and his brothers, Everett and J.E. Brooks. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Andrea Brooks of Loganville; daughter, Vickie Melo of Snellville; daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Harold Williams of Monroe; daughter, Carolyn Gilleland of Lebanon, TN; sister, Erma Moulder; sister and brother-in-law, Ethel and Norris Martin; brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Pauline Brooks; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other loving relatives. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Mr. Michael Dickens officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens in Cumming, GA. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Mr. Brooks to: Peachtree Christian Hospice, 3430 Duluth Park Lane, Duluth, GA 30096. Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
