Martha Wallace Evans

Martha Wallace Evans, age 95 of Cumming, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2014. She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years; James L. Evans. Martha loved to travel with her husband. She was totally dedicated to her children and grandchildren and was active in the Chamblee Garden Club. Mrs. Evans was also a member of the 1st United Methodist Church of Chamblee. Survivors include her children, Quentin (Lauri) Evans of Cumming, and Carla (Steve) Higgins of Williamson; sisters, Betty Hyde of Cumming and Jean Pierce of Chamblee; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 24th at 2:00pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phillip Connel officiating. Interment will follow at Prospect Methodist Church Cemetery in Chamblee. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Saturday, August 23rd from 5:00pm until 7:00pm and on Sunday, August 24th from 12:00pm until time of service.
