Martha Sue Walls

Martha Sue Walls passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 14, 2023, at the age of 87. She was a lifelong resident of Forsyth County and a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 34 years. She also enjoyed Vacation Bible School and Church Camp.

She is preceded in death by her husband Raid Walls, grandsons Nathan Loiacano and Stuart Bell, parents Fleet and Grace Pirkle, sister Ruby Gates, and brother Ralph Pirkle.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law; Teresa and Bob Royall of Lawrenceville, Georgia; Brenda and Andy Loiacano of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; one granddaughter Andrea and husband Andrew Majczan of Nazareth, Pennsylvania; three step-grandchildren Elizabeth Royall of Brussels, Belgium; Stephanie and Brandon Walsh of Pooler, Georgia; and David and Maria Royall, Pullman, Washington. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren Noelle and Avery Majczan and five step-great grandchildren Brody, Peter and Lucy Walsh, and Adam and Emmett Royall. She also has one living sister Betty Davis; a sister-in-law, Margie and Bobby Ivey, and Janice Roach, all of Gainesville. A number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.

Martha operated a family day care in her home for 12 years and was blessed with keeping a host of wonderful children. They and their parents will serve as honorary escorts.

Funeral services will be held in Ingram Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 18, 2023, with pastor of the church Rev. Danny Jarrard, Rev. Bob Royall, Rev. Ruel Martin, and Rev. Stephen Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
