Mary Beard Wilson

Mary Beard Wilson, age 87, passed peacefully on August 27, 2015. Mary was born on August 4, 1928, to Julius and Alma Beard, Atlanta, Ga. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Wilson, Sr., and her parents, Julius and Alma Beard. Mary was a member of First Baptist Church, Cumming, GA. She was retired from the Internal Revenue Service, and was active in many organizations including treasurer and secretary for the local AARP, a member of Eastern Star, the Red Hat Society, and the National Assn. of Retired Federal Workers. She loved her three poodles and she also enjoyed working crossword puzzles every morning. Mary was blessed with four children, sons Charles (Kelly) Wilson, Milton, GA; Alan (Wanda) Wilson, Monroe, GA; Mark (Amy) Wilson, Decatur, GA and Gail (Stephen) Temple, Dahlonega, GA. Her seven grandchildren are Lisa and Natalie Van Lith, and Michael, Loren, William, Skye, and Willow Wilson. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 30, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and Monday, from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel, 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, GA 30040. Funeral services will be on Monday, August 31 at 11:00 AM at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be Monday, August 31, 1:00 p.m. at Peachtree Memorial Park Cemetery, Duluth, GA.
