Mary DeMarco

Mary DeMarco, formerly of Canton, OH, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2016 in Suwanee, Georgia with her family and friends welcoming her to a much deserved eternal life. Mary was born in Youngstown in 1919, raised in Akron, and was very proud of her Romanian Heritage. She served as a secretary for several Patent Attorney's for Firestone Tire and Rubber retiring in 1984. She was a faithful member of Little Flower Catholic Church in North Canton for many years and then joined St. George Byzantine Catholic Cathedral in Canton where her and Frank enjoyed many friends, amazing dinners and a true sense of the word volunteering. Mary was preceded in death by her parents John and Eva Myers and her brothers John and George. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years Frank; her son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Susan; 4 grandchildren, Catherine (James) Gillum, Anthony (Carla) DeMarco, Carrie (Ryan) DeMarco and Courtney DeMarco; 6 great grandchildren, Destin, Kerstin, Bella and Brody Gillum, Lorenzo DeMarco, Cali Campola; and many Nieces and Nephews. The family would like to thank all of the loving caregivers that provided support over the past few years and a special thank you to her neighbor Paula, her mother, and her long-time friend Margie. It was her wishes to be cremated. A private family Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 5:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, GA. At the convenience of the family, there will be a service held in Canton, OH, at St. George's with inurnment at Warstler Cemetery.
