Mary Ellen Torre

Ms. Mary Ellen Torre passed away peacefully in her home with her daughters, Gina and Elena at her side very late Saturday evening, March 8, 2015. They were privileged to care for her until the end. Mary Ellen was a strong woman who raised five children with as much love, hope, and encouragement as possible. Her passions included classical music, the ballet, the fine arts, reading, and thinking. Dogs, cats, and cardinals were among her favorite creatures and she cared for them always. She was fortunate to travel: The natural beauty of beaches, rivers and mountains were places of mirth, solace, and peace. Laughter graced her through the ups and downs of her 95 years. Mary Ellen is survived by three sisters, four children, three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. We will miss her dearly.
