Mary Pryor Winn passed away peacefully Sunday evening on November18th, 2018 in Suwanee, GA at the age of 95. She was born June 28, 1923 in Whitwell, TN to Frederick Hues Pryor and Roberta Belle Allgood.She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Powell Winn in 2008 and son, Thomas Pryor Winn in 2015.

Mary and Powell had three sons and one daughter. Larry M. Winn lives in Cumming, GA with his wife Jane and their son, Conley. The late Tommy Winn lived in Brentwood, TN and had two sons, Joshua and Jordan Winn. Joshua lives in Birmingham, AL and Jordan lives in Brentwood, TN with his wife Olivia and their two children Emmett and Helen. Roberta Cantrell lives in Suwanee, GA with her husband Wayne Cantrell. Their son, Travis Cantrell, lives in Smyrna, GA and their daughter Curee Chance lives in Dorado, Puerto Rico with her husband Adam Chance and their two daughters Scarlett and Aria.

Mary was a member of the DAR, taught school (4th grade) for 18 years and art history in Williamson County, a gifted artist, president of Phi Mu at the University of Tennessee, member of Travelers Rest Ladies Auxiliary, and one of the founders of the Brentwood Presbyterian Church.

A graveside service in Marys honor will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 26th, 2018 at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Jasper, TN. Directions: Go I-24 110 miles south of Nashville, or 30 miles north of Chattanooga, to Jasper, TN exit, go NE on Hwy-28 approximately 2.5 miles on Hwy-28 to Mel Dixon Ln on left. Go approximately .3 miles on Mel Dixon Ln to Valley View Hwy. Pine Grove Cemetery on the right at the corner of Valley View Hwy. and Mel Dixon Ln.

Enter Cemetery and go to top of hill. Mary will be buried on the other side of the hill beside her parents Frederick Roberta Pryor, and near Marys forefather Alexander Kelly an American Revolutionary War hero.

Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming is in charge of arrangements.
