Mary Virginia Zang, age 80, of Cumming passed away Friday, January 7, 2022. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, teacher, and friend. Born in Lima, Peru in March of 1941, Mary emigrated to the US in 1962 where she met the love of her life, Gino Zang. Her heart was full of love, compassion, generosity, and profound devotion to Our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband Eugene "Gino" Zang; parents, Charles and Lucrecia Cochrane; brother, Jorge (Violeta) Cochrane; and sisters, Lucrecia (Silas) Baracat and Margot Cochrane.
She is survived by daughter, Lucrecia (Tom) Baigis; Son, Antonio (Lisa) Zang; grandchildren, Elena Zang, Joseph Zang, and Sean (Caroline) Baigis; nephews, George (Willianne) Cochrane, Richard (Kim) Cochrane; nieces, Marjorie (Alex) Veizis, and Erika (Cliff) Elgin; several grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, and numerous friends and loved ones.
A funeral mass celebrating her life will be held Thursday, January 13th, at 1 PM at St. Brendan The Navigator Catholic Church in Cumming, Georgia, with a reception to follow in the church social hall.
Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
