Mary Wallace Porter

Mary Wallace Porter, age 61 and lifelong resident of Forsyth County, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2013. She had an undying dedication to her kids and grandkids and was an avid genealogist, researching for her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Harold and Myrtie Stephens Wallace and father-in-law, Lyndon Porter. Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Chris Porter of Cumming, children, Christopher Lee and Heather Marie Porter of Cumming, Kyle Newton and Alicia Michelle Porter of Cumming; sister and brother-in-law, Martha and David Perkins of Cumming; brother and sister-in-law, James and Jo Ann Wallace of Cumming; mother-in-law, Rose Chance Shelton of Cumming; grandchildren, Rilynn Thomas Porter, Grace Rose Porter, Seth Alexander Porter; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 1st at 2:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joey Wallace and Dea. Robert Houchins officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Friday and Saturday from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Sunday from 12:00 noon until hour of the service.
