Maurice Giles Bristow

Maurice Giles Bristow, age 83, of Cumming, GA, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021. Giles grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina - the third child of Hobart and Lenore Bristow. After graduating from Greensboro Senior High school, he attended Appalachian College for three years. He married his high school sweetheart, Barbara Simpson, in 1959 and volunteered for the draft. After spending 27 months in the Army, the last six months in France, he came home after the birth of his first son. His first job was with Liberty Mutual Insurance company - later being qualified as a Certified Financial Planner, he won numerous awards. Giles was a Charter Member of the Atlanta Chapter of the International Association of Financial Planning, Inc. He was also a member of Cumming First United Methodist Church and the Circle of Friends Sunday School Class.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Bristow; sister, Dorothy Jones (Tony); sons, Bradford Giles Bristow (Rosy), Brian Clinton Bristow (Leah), Brent Howard Bristow (Nancy) and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 29, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Bowen officiating.
