Melanie Payne Ray

On Sunday, February 27, 2022, Melanie Payne Ray left this world and entered the gates of Heaven into the arms of Jesus. Melanie was born on October 31, 1974 and carving pumpkins and dressing up became a family birthday tradition on this special day. She is survived by her spouse, Jimmy Ray, daughter Ellie and son Braden Harper. She is the proud GlamMa of Autumn. Loving parents, Hugh and Mary Ann Payne, tight sisters, Lorrie Clark and Amy Bennett. Brothers like no others, Jeff Bennett and Dusty Clark. Devoted nephews, Clay and Colin Bennett, Eli and Wil Clark. Chosen nieces, Jordan and Taylor Amos.

 

Melanie had a passion for making others feel special and beautiful. She was a talented cosmetologist and while she did your hair she would tell you about Jesus and how much He loved you. She had a fiery personality that went with her beautiful red hair. Her love for her children and family was fierce and never ending. If Melanie could say anything to the ones she loves it would be to listen to the voice of Truth. The truth is God loves you so much He gave His son Jesus so that ultimately you will come and live in Glory with Him. 

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday March 12, 2022 at Freedom Tabernacle. Please come and visit with family and friends in the sanctuary at Freedom Tabernacle from 11:00 until 1:00. Bring your favorite picture or something that reminds you of Melanie to share with her children. This will be such a blessing and comfort in the days to come. A Memorial Service will begin at 1:00 with Pastor Robbie Mathis and Pastor Rick Sefzik officiating. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Freedom Tabernacle.
