Michael Bland Lewis

Michael Bland Lewis, age 71, received his final reward of eternal peace on May 29, 2014 after a two year illness. Michael Bland was born on April 3, 1943 in Atlanta, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Marion Lewis of Thomasville, GA. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Donna and their children, Jason and wife Chandra of Mableton, GA; Mark and wife Jennifer of Canton, GA; and Jessica and husband Ed Cox of San Diego, CA. He also was Grandpa to his beloved grandchildren, Katherine Lewis, Caleb Lewis, Madison Lewis and was looking forward to welcoming Elli Cox this coming July. He was the oldest of 5 children and is survived by brother David Lewis and wife Kathy of Athens, GA, Dudley Lewis and wife Anne of Thomasville, GA, Larry Lewis of Slidell, LA, and one sister, Kathy Golden and husband Chuck of Cairo, GA; parents-in-law Clyde and Ruth Weldon of Conyers, GA, brother-in-law Bill Weldon and wife Cheryl of Snellville, GA; 3 nieces and 5 nephews. Mike served in the US Navy where he was a dental technician stationed at Parris Island, SC. He worked in the dental supply business in Atlanta for many years. After retiring from this business he worked as a new car salesman in Florida where he made many friends & eventually lived in the Destin area on his beloved coast. He touched many lives and will be missed by his many friends and especially his family whom he loved deeply & who loved him deeply.
