Montine Martin, age 72, of Forsyth County, passed away on February 11, 2016. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Dawsonville. Montine is preceded in death by her husband, Ruphard Martin; parents, Winfred and Ruby Day; sisters, Betty Jean Day, Christine Daniels, Ethel Coffer, Leonia Chambers; brothers, J.W. Day, Lamar Day, and Kermit Day. She is survived by her daughter, Melinda Holland of Gainesville; sons, Ruphard Hugh (Carol) Martin Jr. of Gainesville, Jeffery Martin of FL, Douglas Martin of Cumming; sisters, Lavada Neighbors of Cumming, Brenda Emmett of Gainesville, Yvonnie Cartrett of Gainesville; brother, J.R. Day of Mt. Airy; grandchildren, Mindy Jeffords, Crystal Ekstrom, Cammie Ekstrom, T.J. McDonald, Christy Martin, Casey Martin, Ryan McDonald, Matthew McDonald, Tyler Martin, Kyle Martin, Daniel Martin, Leslie Martin; great-grandchildren, Nolan Jeffords, Riley Jeffords, Carter Martin, Camden Martin, Gavin Dixon, Braxton Bryant, Vilo Ekstrom, Daniel Martin Jr, Kaylee Martin. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, February 14, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Ruel Martin and Rev. Johnny Bryant officiating. The interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Friday, February, 12, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Saturday from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM, and Sunday, from 9:00 AM until the hour of service.
