Nancy McNeill Dodgson passed away in the presence of family and friends on March 22, 2013. Born in Brooklyn, NY in 1930, Nancy moved to Atlanta, with her husband and son, in 1963. During her career in Pittsburgh, New York and Atlanta, she worked as a teacher, at the National Broadcasting Company and, ultimately, she and her husband were successful small business owners for many years. She was an avid Falcons fan, greatly enjoyed playing bridge with her many friends and was involved with her Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority alumni. She was predeceased by her husband of over 50 years, James C. Dodgson and her brother John McNeill. She is survived by her son, Jeff Dodgson; brothers, Thomas McNeill (Patricia) and James McNeill (Mary Ann); sister Jeanne Kaulakis (Franklyn); numerous nieces and nephews and the beloved family dog, Freckles. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in her memory to Little Sisters of the Poor (www.littlesistersofthepoor-pittsburgh.org), 128 Benton Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212. A memorial service will be held at The Church of the Atonement at 10:45am on May 4, 2013 with a Celebration of Life reception to follow at the Cherokee Country Club.
