Nancy Martin Eason, 67, of Dawsonville, passed away Monday, September 11, 2017. A native of Cumming, Nancy was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and active in the WMU. She was a founding member of the Dawsonville Civitan Club and a long-time member of the Cumming Civitan Club. An adventurer at heart, Nancy loved travel, especially with her husband and grandson in their motorhome. Their recent 59 day trip to Alaska was a highlight in her life. Nancy loved art, music, playing the harp, sewing, knitting and quilting. She was always willing to help those in need.

A graduate of Forsyth County High School and Lanier Technical College, Nancy attended Brown College of Court Reporting. Nancy was a Court Reporter in the Blue Ridge Judicial Circuit for almost 30 years, serving as the Official Reporter for several judges.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Beler and Geneva Martin; brother, Maurice Martin; brother-in-law, Steve Shadburn; sister-in-law, Annette Martin; niece, Charlotte Shadburn Hill; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Florrie and Murphy Mutt Eason, and her beloved dog, Casey.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Mike Eason; daughter and son-in-law, Courtney and Billy Pilcher, all of Dawsonville; son and girlfriend, Martin Eason and Nikah Shawver of Cumming; grandson, Caleb Pilcher; sisters and brother-in-law, Helen Shadburn and Susan and Perry Tallant, all of Cumming; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ralph and Mildred Martin of Cumming, Lyndon Martin of Cumming, Dr. Roger and Vickie Martin of Gainesville; sister-in-law, Margaret Martin of Cumming; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and special friends, Linda and Wesley Walraven of Cumming.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 14, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ricky Byrd officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Friendship Baptist Church WMU.

Ingram Funeral Home Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
