Nathan David Monroe, 33, formerly of Anderson passed away November 17, 2013 at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Nathan is survived by his cherished wife, Christina (Hillis) Monroe, father, David Monroe (wife Karen Monroe), mother Bonnie (Skaggs) Monroe, sister, Heather Imel, nephews, Jarrod, Zachary and Austin Imel, Austin Hillis, Nevin and Mason Harwood, nieces, Katelyn Harwood and Anna Bloomfield, in-laws, Marilyn and John Hillis, Michelle (Keith) Harwood, and Tiffany Hillis. Nathan was born in Muncie, Indiana on October 21, 1980. He graduated from Highland High School in 1999 and Ball State University in 2004. He was active in the Highland High School marching band. He enjoyed watching Colts football, sailing with his father, and vacationing with Christina. He and Christina attended Madison Park Church of God. He worked for Career Connection Incorporated as the manager of Corporate Information Solutions in Atlanta. He was gifted with skills in computer programming and system applications. He frequently volunteered these skills in humanitarian projects. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, parents, family, friends, and the many lives he touched. A memorial service will be held at Madison Park Church of God on Monday, November 25 at 2:00. Visitation will take place from 12:00 to 2:00. The Reverend Jim Lyon will be officiating.
