Nathan Harris Poole

Nathan Harris Poole, 87, passed away March 21, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ansel and Eloise Poole and older brother, Henry Ansel Poole (HAP). He is survived by sister, Doris Holbrook and brother, Harold (Nida) Poole; five nephews, great niece and nephew and great great niece and nephew.

 Nathan served 2 years in the U.S. Army, stationed in Virginia. He was a 1955 graduate of Cumming High School. After a short employment with Lockheed, he was recruited to an ice island in Northern Canada to rebuild C-130 wing. After completion, Nathan chose to spend time in Alaska and was later hired to work on the pipeline before returning home to Cumming. He was later employed by McKesson Drugs for 30 years until retirement. His last 8 years were in Lanier Village Assisted Living.

 Nathan was known for his quick wit and “short fuse” but was loved by all the employees at Lanier Village.

 Entombment services will be held Saturday, March 23, at 3:00 p.m. at the Sawnee View Gardens Mausoleum with Rev. Ken Danuser officiating.

 The family will receive friends at the cemetery mausoleum the hour prior to the service.

 Ingram Funeral Home, 210 Ingram Ave, Cumming, GA in charge of arrangements.
