Nellie Garrett Martin, of Cumming, GA, age 104, passed away on March 14, 2013. She was born December 5, 1908 in Old Milton county, now Milton, Fulton county, GA. Nellie moved to Forsyth county with her parents three years later. She was the oldest member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Nellie loved her family and her church and enjoyed gardening and cooking. She is preceded in death by her husband, H. Clyde Martin; sons, Morris Martin and Charles Martin. Survivors include her daughter, Lanelle (Meredith) Mason; grandchildren, Michele (Richard) Picklesimer, Tonya (Howard) Wallace, Marty Garrett; great grandchildren, Jason (Nikki) Picklesimer, Kristin (Ben) Haney, Sallie Wallace, Cora Wallace, Maggie Wallace; great great grandchildren, Addison and Avery Picklesimer; daughter-in-law, Martha Martin; sister-in-law, Virginia Garrett and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 17, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Orr and Rev. Richard Picklesimer officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 and Sunday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
