Noboru "Nobie" Imai, age 76, of Cumming, GA, passed away at Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, GA on June 29, 2013. Nobie was born in Wailuku Maui Hawaii on February 19, 1937. He is survived by his friend and ex-wife, Charlotte Imai; daughter, Nikki Veillon Matthews; 3 grandchildren, Nicholas, Ryan, and Sabrina Veillon; 2 sisters, Miyoko Hamaguchi, Yoshiko Fujiwara. He is preceded in death by his parents, Yoshio and Hatsuna Imai; 4 brothers, Katsui, Sakai, Hideto, and Yoshiyuki. Nobie was employed as an import produce specialist at Lucky's Stores for 25 years. He was an avid hobbiest. He enjoyed woodworking and the culinary arts. He served in the U.S. Army infantry stationed in Hawaii and Thailand. Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, July 3, at 11:00 am at the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Casual attire is requested.
