Nora Brown Hudson, of Cumming, formerly of Tucker, Georgia, went home to her beloved Savior on January 25, 2015, surrounded by her husband and children. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother of gracious humility and generous spirit. Nora left behind a wonderful gift of love and strong faith that touched the lives of all who knew her. Her beautiful smile never left her face, and you could feel God's presence each time you saw her. Nora was greatly loved by all because she truly loved all. She was an angel on earth whose greatest gift was sharing her love of Christ through her actions, words and kindness. Nora was born in Mobile, Alabama on January 16, 1939, where she graduated in 1955 from Murphy High School. She retired from the Centers for Disease Control where she worked as an Administrative Assistant. Her true life's work was raising her four children in a Godly home. Nora is preceded in death by her father, John E. Brown; mother, Mellie Brown; sisters, Lois Devaney, Joyce Harris and Bonnie Hubbard. She is survived by her beloved husband of almost 59 years, William R. (Bill) Hudson; her daughters, Cindy (Ken) Coleman, Sandra (Paul) Herzwurn, Linda (Dennis) Hewatt; son, Billy (Sheryl) Hudson; grandchildren, Michael Hewatt, Amanda Hewatt, Zack Herzwurn, Brant Herzwurn, Matt Herzwurm, Chris Coleman, Jennifer Coleman, Taylor Hudson and Blake Hudson; brother, John (Louise) Brown; sister, Betty (Hugh) Mitchell; sister-in-law, Helen (Larry) Grik; brother-in-law, John (Susan) Hudson and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Hudson will be held Thursday, January 29th, at 2:00 p.m. at her beloved First Baptist Church of Cumming, with Rev. Ken Danuser and Mr. Dennis Paschedag officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens. The Salt and Shaker Class will serve as honorary escort. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2:00 until 4:00 and 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Flowers are appreciated or you may make a memorial contribution in Nora's memory to the First Baptist Church of Cumming, 1597 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, Georgia 30040, for missions or their building fund.
